Eligibility and Requirements

Currently enrolled undergraduate students in biological resource-related departments at universities and colleges.

Participants may compete individually or as a team, and must submit the proposal jointly with an advising professor.
Notes:
  1. The research must be related to biodiversity conservation in Taiwan. Both a Final Thesis/Paper and a presentation are required for submission.
  2. Action plans that have previously been awarded this prize are not permitted to reapply with the same topic within two years.

Master's or Doctoral students (including those who graduated within the last 2 years) from departments related to biological resources.

For individual entries, research outcomes must be published in an international journal.
Notes:
  1. Applicants must be engaged in research related to biodiversity conservation in Taiwan. Research results must have been published after January 1, 2020, in SCI, SSCI, or A&HCI journals as the first author or corresponding author, with supporting documentation required.
  2. Must be approved and recommended by the applicant’s advisor.

For team entries, the group must have been continuously engaged in ecological conservation research and published in academic journals within the last five years.
Notes:
  1. Applicants must be engaged in biodiversity conservation research in Taiwan. Each project is limited to a maximum of 2 years of funding. For research extending from the same topic, a new proposal may be resubmitted in the 3rd year, with a total funding limit of 4 years.
  2. Double funding for the same project is prohibited. All applicants must adhere to the principles of academic ethics.
